Frank Miller's Sin City; Opening Title Sequence

Here is the title sequence for sin city. In the first shot we see the New York sky scrapers, this gives the audience instant recognision of where it is set. It then goes on to give a birdseye view of the buildings spelling out the title, Sin City. As the title sequence goes on we are introduced with the cast names as well as cartoon images of characters that you imagine are linked to the actual character. The only colours that are used are black white and red, these are very striking colours because they make the image and the writing stand out from each other. The red is also a connotation of blood so it may make the audience think that there will be violent scenes within the film.
